Marami sa atin na kapag nakakarinig ng SEAMAN palagi itong kinakabitan ng Seaman-loloko. Bakit? Dahil sa iba't-ibang kwento na rin ng kanilang karanasan na habang malayo sa sariling bansa marami ang pagkakataon na makakilala ng iba, mga nadadala ng lungkot dahil sa malayo sila o ang iba ay ginagawang dahilan na lang ang pagiging malayo para makapangloko lang talaga. Kaya common na sa atin na kapag ang sagot sa tanong na "asan ang boyfriend mo" at sagutin na "seaman" Asahan mo na ang iniisip agad ng taong nagtanong ay kawawa naman ang babae niloloko lang siya ng boyfriend na seaman. Nakaakawa kung tutuusin lalo na sa mga matitinong seaman na hirap din sila makahanap ng babaeng magseseryoso sa kanila dahil nga sa kawalang tiwala sa kanila. Pero hindi ang kwento ni Katherine Yonson kung saan proud siya sa boyfriend niyang seaman at pinakita niya na may seaman pa talaga na seryoso sa isang relasyon. Basahin niyo po.

8 years. We've known eachother for 8 long years. 6 years of friendship, him giving me advices about life and everything, and 2 years of in a relationship, today marked our second anniversary and I'm so tired and pissed of hearing people saying negative about my boyfriend just because he is a seafarer. 

"Seaman? Nah good luck" why? What's wrong just because he's a seaman gino-goodluck agad ang girlfriend? Why don't you just rub it in your face that my boyfriend is not single ahead close to that.

Ay kini maka p*tang ina ka talaga. Hahahahahaha, let me clear this thing up, opportunities, job, money and a good future is his main reason and not just to jump and dive with some cheap, low-class women around the world. Remember, you are what you pursue.

YES OFCOURSE. It is a girlfriend's duty to TRUST and have FAITH on your partner. Nanguyab paka kung wa man diay kay salig niya. Gagu. Wag ako. Kay tanan niya vacant time, and i mean TANAN, mapaingun sa video calls sa ako or saiyang family. 

"Atay, kaya nimu LDR?" 

Every brave seaman, has a braver girlfriend (charot) but seriously, yes being in a long distance relationship is not easy, you can't do anything when you misses eachother, you can't hug eachother if one of you is upset, but one thing's for sure about in a LDR is there will always be this "hope" a hope that one day you will be seeing eachother again, a hope that one day every miss will turn to kiss, every frown will turn to hugs and every video calls will turn to drive-me-home, and lastly a hope that this all will be worth it, and I know it is. 

To my brave man, 

3 years ago, this man prayed God to give him a woman he deserves, a good woman that would take care of him, that would take him to her family and that would love him as much as he loves her. And couldn't even believe that the woman God gave him was me. Happy Anniversary lang! Let's not waste what God has given to us! Blessed to have you! Cheers to more years! I love you sooo much, and you know that!
