Local Love Team Turned Real Life Couple And Number 5 Our All Time Favorite, Agree?

Marami ang kinilig at patuloy pa ring kinikilig sa kanilang tambalan sa teleserye o sa movie man. At sa tagal ng mga artistang magkakasama sa shooting hindi maiiwasan na magkadevelopan sila habang ginagawa ang kanilang palabas. Tignan niyo ang mga sikat na love team sa local showbiz. 

1. James Reid and Nadine Lustre

These two starred in the movie adaptation of a hit Wattpad story entitled ‘Diary ng Panget’. The film became a huge success in cinemas which resulted to the making of ‘Talk Back And You’re Dead’ few months only after the release of their first movie. James publicly asked Nadine to be his official girlfriend during their post-Valentine concert in Araneta Coliseum. 

"It was so liberating. I mean, before in the past, when I dated girls I always had to keep it a secret. It is so difficult. For once being with her, [being able to] just scream it out, the whole country watching…it felt so satisfying," he shared.

2. Rico Yan and Claudine Barretto

Rico Yan and Claudine Barretto’s on-screen chemistry started to bloom when they were paired up in TV soap opera, ‘Mula Sa Puso’. They became a real-life couple during the making of the soap. But after the succesful release of the film, the two took their separate ways.

3. Kim Chiu and Gerald Anderson

They were first introduced in a reality show called ‘Pinoy Big Brother’. When their names started to make noise in the showbiz industry, they were starred in various movies and teleseryes which all undeniably became a phenomenon. Unfortunately, the two ended their 4-year relationship due to some unannounced reason. The love team once again starred in their own PrimeTime teleserye, ‘Ikaw Lang Ang Iibigin’.

4. Jennylyn Mercado and Dennis Trillo

Jennylyn and Dennis started working together in 2006 in GMA’s afternoon series, but it wasn’t until 2010 when they started to fall in love with each other. But their relationship didn’t end well as there were issues of abuse between the two of them. In 2015, Jennylyn admitted that she and Dennis are exclusively dating again. 

5. Jericho Rosales and Kristine Hermosa

Jericho and Kristine’s tandem was undoubtedly the favorite love team in 90's. They first starred together in ‘Pangako Sa’yo’. Even after their break-up in 2003, they still continued to make more projects together until 2009.

6. Daniel Matsunaga and Erich Gonzales

Daniel Matsunaga and Erich Gonzales’ tandem became a hit when Matsunaga joined the casting of Gonzales’ drama series, ‘Two Wives’ back in 2014.  They admitted their relationship in 2016 and they were openly supported by their fans. They even starred in their own morning serye, ‘Be My Lady’. Unfortunately, the two shockingly split up this February 2017 and the reason is yet to be disclosed.

7. Tom Rodriguez and Carla Abellana

The two first worked together in GMA’s heavy-drama series, ‘My Husband’s Lover’ where they played as wife-and-husband. The following year after the conclusion of ‘My Husband’s Lover,’ Carla and Tom were paired again in a light-romantic TV series, ‘My Destiny’. Tom publicly admitted that he’s courting Abellana, and it wasn’t long when he said that Abellana is the type of person who he’d like to spend his lifetime with.

8. Dingdong Dantes and Marian Rivera

One of the most powerful couples in the showbiz industry who was dubbed as the ‘Royal Couple of the Philippines’. Dantes and Rivera worked together in a lot of TV series and movies. Their relationship became official in 2008, and they got married last 2014. 

9. Sam Milby and Anne Curtis

Sam and Anne had their debut career as a love team in a 2006 TV series, ‘Maging Sino Ka Man’. The two admitted that they are officially a couple. But their relationship didn’t last long as they broke up in 2008 while filming their latest series, ‘Dyosa’. The two remained very good friends and was actually able to do movies together back in 2010 and 2014. 

10. Iya Villania and Drew Arellano

Iya Villania was only a teenager when she was paired with Drew Arellano, who was already in his late 20s at that time. They were first teamed up in GMA’s Filipino youth-oriented TV series, ‘Click’ in 2003. The two dated several people first before finally settling down with each other. Their relationship lasted for so many years until they ended up marrying each other.
